Emmentaler AOP
The Swiss classic with holes.
Emmentaler AOP has been produced in the Emmental region since the 13th century. To this day, it is made in small, independent village cheese dairies using fresh raw milk from cows that graze on lush pastures.
The result: a remarkable cheese with large holes, a smooth texture and a characteristic nutty flavor.
Mild: Maturation period min. 2 months – Flavour: mild, nutty, pure
Reserve: Maturation period min. 12 months – Flavour: nutty, tangy
Cave-aged: Maturation period min. 15 months – Flavour: nutty, strong, intense
